We have a new coffee coming soon.

This wet processed coffee is sweet and delicious! The notes are reminiscent of a freshly baked oatmeal raisin cookie. We are now offering this Guatemala coffee in our store, with whole bean and ground options. Watch for more new flavors as we continue to cup some new beans from around the world.

This coffee is from Aurelio Villatoro, he and his family have erected a few wet mill sites in their local communities. This lot is from his newest mill in El Injerto, "Punta del Cerro", which is managed by him and his brother Aler. These coffee beans have some of the best qualities the farm has to offer. Situated in a valley between two steep mountainsides, it provides a perfect topography for growing coffee and hosts ideal shade provision from the surrounding natural forest. In this area, coffee tops out about 1750 meters due to the colder climate here.

Today we are highlighting one of our light to medium roast coffee. The beans are grown and harvested in the Sumatra region of Indonesia. Our Sumatra Aceh Bukit beans are eco-friendly, fair trade, organic, and low acidity. This coffee is great for espresso with its earthy sweetness that brings out flavorful notes that are syrupy, sweet, earthy, and rustic. Our bean has been roasted light to bring out some of the citrusy notes. This coffee will provide a complex cup of earthy notes.

When ground, the Sumatra Aceh Bukit coffee takes on a light red or orangish tone. The unique color and flavors are due to the influence of the coffee varieties, the climate, and, the Wet-hull method or Giling Basah to locals. It's from the broader Aceh (pronounced ah-cha) area in the North, and collected from farmers in the villages of Bukit, Bandar, and Permata. This lot has been hand-sorted a third time before export, hence it is called "Triple-Pick."

We hope you indulge in the rich and complex flavors of our Sumatra Aceh Bukit organic fair trade coffee experiencing a range of intricate flavors like malty brown rice syrup, aromatic sandalwood oil, and a hint of citrus. Savor the sweet and robust taste of our Sumatra Aceh Bukit coffee, perfect for those who appreciate a well-crafted cup of joe.
